Laser Acne Treatment

Laser Acne Treatment-The action of IPL can be compared to antibiotic therapy
Acne is a chronic inflammation of the hair follicles, caused by factors such as: increased production of sebum, inflammation, weakening of the immune system or the development of bacterial flora. Acne is the most common dermatological disease of adolescence, but we are also increasingly seeing the so-called adult acne affecting people over 25 years of age It is mainly caused by hormonal changes. Increased production of sex hormones, especially androgens, is very often the cause of acne.
Laser acne treatment is one of the most modern methods. It brings quick results, the skin regains a uniform color. The laser not only eliminates bacteria, reducing inflammation and reducing acne papules, the therapy also prevents the recurrence of new lesions. And the change is noticeable after just one treatment.
The method of laser acne treatment is based on shrinking acne papules on the surface of the skin and killing bacteria in the deeper layers of the skin, which results in the softening and healing of current changes. The light beam penetrates deeply into the skin also acts directly on the sebaceous glands, preventing excessive production of sebum.

Treatment of acne with IPL is indicated in people with moderate or high intensity of active acne lesions. It works like antibiotics, but unlike antibiotics, it does not cause side effects on the liver or stomach.

The laser uses energy in the form of focused light beams that damage selected areas of the epidermis and dermis in a controlled manner. Damaged skin cells are replaced with renewed, healthy tissue, and the skin gains a healthier and younger look. Laser light not only eliminates the existing inflammation, but also prevents the formation of new lesions, and the skin becomes stronger and more resistant to scarring. The epidermis remains intact, so the recovery period is not long. It results in microscopic thermal damage in the dermis, which are separated by areas of undamaged tissue.

The treatment period is about 8-16 weeks (2-4 months) and treatments are performed every 2-4 weeks.

From the second week on, the first signs of improvement are visible (there is a reduction in the degree of inflammation in the affected areas and a slight reduction in the symptoms themselves).

After a series of treatments:

  • The acne spots are almost completely eliminated
  • On the other hand, those that remain - are no longer active - disappear within the next few weeks.
  • Throughout the treatment, it is recommended to use appropriate care cosmetics designed for acne-prone skin.
  • Disinfect the skin and destroy the rapidly multiplying acne-causing bacteria.
  • The IPL beam of light affects the sebaceous glands, destroys them, thus contributing to the production and secretion of sebum.
  • Shrinkage of comparisons, elimination of pimples and papules.
  • Accelerating the healing of acne lesions.
  • IPL therapy for acne does not damage healthy skin, and you can return to your normal lifestyle right after the treatment.
