What is polylactic acid?
It is a synthetic molecule invented in 1954 and obtained from lactic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance in the body. This polymer is widely used in medicine. This acid is a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic polymer of the alpha-hydroxy acid family.
Sculptra is a long-lasting, clinically proven, non-invasive, stimulating treatment aimed at smoothing wrinkles and giving a natural contour to the face. Sculptra is an appropriate treatment for men and women when age-related changes are starting to become visible. It is a preparation that stimulates the body's ability to produce new collagen. Collagen helps the skin stay firm, elastic and firm. With age, the skin loses its natural collagen, which leads to a reduction in firmness and results in dimpling, sagging skin and the formation of wrinkles, lines and folds. This process is accelerated by sun damage and menopause.
It is perfect as a non-invasive method of correcting the oval of the face and sagging cheeks, firms and fills the zygomatic bone area, nasolabial folds, perioral concavity, marionette folds and chin wrinkles. When deciding on the Sculptra treatment, remember that:
Bruises, slight swelling and puncture marks may appear immediately after the treatment. Don't worry, symptoms usually disappear on their own within a week. The changes are caused by the injections, not by the preparation;
